My First Week

I am finishing up my first week at the HIV Research Section in the AIDS Office at the San Francisco Department of Public Health (wow that's a mouth full!). I have been going crazy about this internship for the past month in anticipation for it to start, and now it's finally here! So far I have been getting trained in various HIV related topics, taken online courses in "good clinic practices", and attended my first recruitment staff meeting (which was outrageously funnnn!). Oh, and I have my own office. What a joke, right?!! I don't even understand half the things I'm doing, let alone remember my name, and they give me an office. Mistake #1.

Interesting things about the SFDPH AIDS office:
1. Everyone is beautiful.
2. If you work here, then there is a 50% chance you're in a drag show.
3. Everyone is extremeley knowledgable.
4. There is an atrium in the center of the building.
5. The first floor is a theater and I just got 4 free tickets for their current play. WooHOO!
6. Iloveitheresomuchitssoawesome!
